A Phone System That Works the Way Your Team Works.
VeloPBX is a cloud-based virtual phone system and contact center platform built for modern businesses. No on-premise hardware. No maintenance contracts. Just a powerful, flexible system your team can use from anywhere.
Your Entire Phone Infrastructure in the Cloud
A traditional PBX (Private Branch Exchange) is a physical box that sits in your server room, requires a specialist to configure, and breaks at the worst possible moment. VeloPBX replaces all of that with a cloud-hosted system you manage through a browser.
From a single admin dashboard, you configure extensions, call routing rules, IVR menus, business hours, voicemail, call recording, and more. Your team takes and makes calls from their computers or mobile devices — no desk phones required, though we support those too.

Phone numbers — frequently asked questions
What kinds of phone numbers can I get?
Six types, depending on country:
— Geographic (local): tied to a specific city, e.g. London 020 or New York 212.
— National: country-wide, no city association.
— Mobile: cellular-format numbers used by businesses that need a mobile presence.
— Toll-free: free for callers; you pay per inbound minute.
— Shared-cost: caller and called party split the cost.
— UIFN: universal international freephone, one number that works worldwide.
Use the explorer above to see which types are in stock for the country you need.
Which countries do you cover?
92 countries and 5,500+ area codes. Coverage and per-country capabilities (voice in/out, SMS in/out, fax) are shown live in the explorer — filter by country and feature.
How fast can I get a number?
Most numbers are reserved within 24 hours of order. Some countries with stricter local-registration rules (typical EU residency-proof markets) take 2–5 business days while we file the paperwork on your behalf.
What documents do you need from me?
It depends on the country and number type. For most markets, nothing — we just need your business name and contact email. For regulated markets (DE, FR, IT, BR, AE, IN, and most Latin-American countries) we'll ask for:
— A government-issued ID for the account holder (passport or national ID).
— Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, or company registration) issued in the last 3 months.
— For some countries, proof of local presence (company registration there, or a notarized agent-of-record letter — we can arrange the agent for you).
The explorer shows each number's exact requirements before checkout, and our team prepares and submits the filing for you.
How do calls reach me?
Two delivery options, included with every number:
— SIP forwarding to any SIP URI or IP you control. 2 concurrent channels are included by default; if you need more, contact us — per-channel pricing varies by country and number type, so we quote channel upgrades manually rather than charging a flat add-on.
— Forward to VeloPBX if you'd like a hosted PBX with IVR, queues, recording, and team extensions on top.
Inbound SMS is delivered to a webhook URL, email, or your VeloPBX inbox — your choice.
Can I receive SMS to these numbers?
SMS support is set by the carrier and varies a lot by country, so we expose it per-number:
— Mobile numbers: usually SMS-capable (about 80% of our mobile inventory supports inbound SMS).
— Geographic (landline) numbers: mixed. About half of our geographic inventory is SMS-enabled, mostly in markets where carriers have launched landline-SMS (notably US, UK, parts of EU). The rest are voice-only.
— National numbers: voice-only.
— Toll-free, UIFN, shared-cost: voice-only by carrier rule worldwide; a handful of toll-free exceptions exist but they're rare.
The SMS feature chip on each number in the explorer tells you definitively whether a given number receives SMS — don't infer it from the number type.
Per-message inbound fees vary by country. Example: US numbers are $0.004 per inbound SMS. Most EU markets are higher; a few smaller markets are free-inbound. Per-message pricing is shown at checkout for the country and number type you select.
Delivery: SMS-to-email is included; A2P/P2P inbound via webhook is supported.
Can I send outbound calls from this number (CLI)?
Yes — when paired with a VeloConnect or VeloPBX outbound trunk, we present your Fortis number as caller ID on outbound calls (CLI). Per-minute outbound rates are listed in the call-rates table per country. Outbound from toll-free / UIFN is restricted by carrier rules in most jurisdictions.
Can I port my existing number to Fortis?
Yes, porting in is free for all supported countries. Porting timelines vary (typically 2–4 weeks in EU/US/CA, longer in markets with manual carrier processes). Send us your current carrier's CSR (customer service record) and we'll quote a port date.
How is pricing structured?
Each number has a monthly rental in USD (shown live in the explorer for stock items). Setup fees are bundled into the monthly rate for transparent billing — no surprises at checkout. Inbound calls to geographic / mobile / national numbers are included in the rental; inbound minutes on toll-free / UIFN / shared-cost are billed per minute (rates shown per country). All amounts in USD; we bill monthly in arrears.
What happens if I want to cancel or port out?
Cancel any time — month-to-month billing, no contracts or termination fees. To port your number to another carrier, give your new provider a Letter of Authorization (LOA); we'll release the number on the agreed date with no port-out fee. If you just stop paying, the number is released after a 30-day grace period.
