Overview
The Dashboard is the home page of the VeloPBX Web Portal. It gives tenant administrators an at-a-glance view of system health, usage, and live activity for the organization. Whenever you sign in, the Dashboard is the first screen you see, with key indicators and quick links to the most-used sections of the Portal.
Dashboard Widgets
Active Calls
The top of the Dashboard shows the number of calls currently in progress, broken down by direction:
| Indicator | Description |
|---|---|
| Active Calls | Total calls currently in progress |
| Inbound Calls | Active calls arriving from the PSTN |
| Outbound Calls | Active calls placed to the PSTN |
| Internal Calls | Active extension-to-extension calls |
Extension Status
A summary of all extensions in the tenant:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Online | Extension is registered and reachable |
| On Call | Extension is currently in a call |
| Ringing | Extension is receiving an incoming call |
| Offline | Extension is unregistered or unreachable |
| DND | Do Not Disturb is active |
| Push Online | Extension is unregistered but reachable via mobile push notifications |
Note: Push Online means the user’s mobile app is logged in but not actively connected. Incoming calls will trigger a push notification to wake the app.
Trunk Status
Connection state of the tenant’s SIP trunks:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Connected | Trunk is registered and ready to carry calls |
| Disconnected | Trunk has lost its registration |
| Registering | Trunk is attempting to register with the provider |
Important: If a trunk shows Disconnected, your organization cannot place or receive external calls through it. Contact [email protected] immediately.
Tenant Resources
A counter strip summarizes the configured resources for the tenant:
| Resource | Description |
|---|---|
| Licensed Users | Maximum extensions allowed by your license |
| Current Users | Extensions currently provisioned |
| Online Users | Extensions currently registered |
| Trunks | Number of configured SIP trunks |
| IVRs | Configured Virtual Receptionists |
| Ring Groups | Configured ring groups |
| Call Queues | Configured queues |
| Conference Rooms | Configured conference rooms |
If Current Users is approaching Licensed Users, contact [email protected] to expand the licence before adding more extensions.
Calls in the Last 24 Hours
A line chart shows the number of calls per hour for the last 24 hours. Use this to spot traffic peaks (good for staffing decisions in queue/queue-routing planning) and unexpected spikes (potentially fraud or misconfigured routes).
Quick Actions
The Dashboard surfaces shortcuts to the most-used admin tasks:
- Add Extension → Users & Extensions
- View CDR → CDR / Reports
- Call Recordings → Call Recording
- Active Calls Monitor → real-time call monitor
Live Monitor
The Active Calls panel lets you:
- See every in-progress call in real time, with caller and callee
- Watch call duration update second by second
- Perform call barge-in or listen (subject to admin permissions)
- Disconnect a stuck call
The data refreshes via a real-time event channel — no manual refresh needed for the call list.
Refreshing the Dashboard
Counters update automatically every few seconds. To force a full refresh, press F5 in the browser or click the Refresh button on the page.
Next Step
Once you are familiar with the Dashboard, the recommended starting point is extension management:
