A campaign in VeloConnect is a one-to-many send across any supported channel. The composer walks you through it in four steps: pick a channel, pick an audience, compose the message, schedule and review. The whole thing usually takes a couple of minutes once your contacts and senders are set up.
Campaigns charge from the shared company wallet on send. Worth a quick balance check before scheduling a big one — see Topping up your wallet.
Step 1 — Pick a channel

Four channels are live for v1 campaigns: SMS, WhatsApp, Viber, Email. Telegram, Messenger, and Instagram appear in the picker but are greyed out — they’re coming in a future release.
The channel choice determines what the composer in step 3 looks like, what sender options you’ll have, and which rate applies.
Step 2 — Pick an audience
Filter your contacts to the people you want to reach. The audience builder reads the same filters you use in Manage contacts:
- Tag — e.g.
vip,winter-2026-leads. - Custom field — any of the fields you defined; see Custom fields.
- Last activity — last inbound, last outbound, last campaign.
- Channel opt-in — the audience auto-excludes contacts who opted out of the channel you picked in step 1.
The recipient count at the top updates as you adjust filters. That’s your sanity check — if it shows 12 when you expected 1,200, fix the filter before you spend money.
Step 3 — Compose
The composer adapts to the channel:
- SMS — free-text body with a live character/segment counter. The segment number drives the per-recipient cost.
{{first_name}}and other contact variables substitute in at send time. - WhatsApp — outside the 24-hour customer window, you can only send a pre-approved template. Step 3 swaps the free-text composer for the template picker and a field for each variable. See WhatsApp templates.
- Viber — body + optional image + optional CTA button. Sender is your registered Viber Business name.
- Email — subject, body (with a basic rich-text editor), and reply-to address.
This is also where you toggle Add tracking link if you want per-recipient click data — see Tracking links.

Step 4 — Schedule and review
Pick Send now or set a future date and time. The review panel on the right shows:
- Final recipient count after opt-out filtering.
- Per-recipient and total cost from your rate card.
- The exact message preview, with variables substituted for a sample contact.
Click Schedule (or Send now) to commit. The campaign moves into the Campaigns list with the matching status pill.
