VeloConnect — Guide

First-time setup

If you’re the first person from your company to sign in, you’ll walk through a short setup wizard. This takes about five minutes. Do it once, get it right, then invite the rest of the team.

What you’ll set

FieldWhat it’s for
Company nameShown to your team in the sidebar, on receipts, and in your senders’ “from” name
TimezoneScheduled campaigns, reports, and timestamps all use this
Default languageSets the portal language for new teammates; each person can change theirs later
Billing emailWhere invoices and wallet alerts go — often a finance address, not your personal one
IndustryHelps us suggest the right channel mix; not visible to your customers

Spend a moment on the billing email — if you set it to your personal address now and switch later, old invoices stay with the original address.

Pick the channels you’ll use

Channels are off by default; you turn on the ones you need. For each one VeloConnect will show what extra setup is required:

  • SMS — works the moment you have an SMS-capable sender ID or DID number.
  • WhatsApp — needs a verified WhatsApp Business account; the setup wizard links you to it.
  • Viber — needs a Viber Business sender; we’ll guide you through registration.
  • Email — works out of the box; replies route back into VeloConnect.
  • Telegram, Facebook Messenger, Instagram Direct — connect via the channel’s own authorization screen.
  • Voice — turn this on later from Phone numbers (DIDs) once you’ve decided which countries you need numbers in.

You don’t have to enable everything now. Adding a channel later takes the same handful of clicks.

Wallet starting balance

VeloConnect bills you as you use it — per message, per call minute, per number. The wallet starts at zero. Before sending the first message or making the first call, top it up from the dashboard. See Topping up your wallet.

What happens at the end

When you click Finish setup, two things happen:

  1. Your dashboard appears, and the channels you enabled show up in the sidebar.
  2. An admin user is created for you — you. From here on, anyone else you invite has the role you give them (Inviting teammates).

Editing setup later

Every field on this screen is editable in Settings → Company Information. Channel changes too — turning a channel off doesn’t delete its history; it just hides the channel from agents.
