Overview
The Web Portal is VeloPBX’s browser-based control panel for your extension. It is where you check voicemails and recordings, set up call forwarding, switch Do Not Disturb on or off, and manage your personal profile. You can sign in from any modern browser — no software install required.
Signing In
Step 1 — Open the Web Portal
In your browser, go to:
https://pbx.fortis-tele.com:8887
Step 2 — Enter Your SIP Domain
You will first be asked for your tenant’s SIP domain:
businessname.local
Click Next.
Note: Your tenant administrator gives you the SIP domain. If you don’t know it, email [email protected].
Step 3 — Enter Your Username and Password

| Username | Your extension number (e.g. 1001) or email address |
| Password | Your Web Portal password (this is your User Password, not your SIP password) |
Click Sign In.
Tip: Your extension actually has two passwords — a SIP Password used by your IP phone or softphone to register, and a User Password used to sign in here. They are independent. The Web Portal only accepts your User Password.
A Quick Tour of the Interface
Once signed in, you’ll see a sidebar with the sections you can manage:

| Voicemail | Listen to, download, and delete voicemails |
| Do Not Disturb | Toggle DND on or off |
| Call Recording | Play back and download your recorded calls (if your admin has enabled this) |
| Profile | Change your password, update display name, manage greetings |
The top-right of the portal also shows your current registration status (Online / On Call / Offline) and any active presence flag (DND, Away, etc.).
Changing Your Password
You should change your password the first time you sign in.
- Open Profile → Change Password.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter your new password twice.
- Click Save.
Password rules:
– At least one uppercase letter
– At least one lowercase letter
– At least one number
– 8 to 16 characters total
If your tenant administrator has set a stricter policy, you may also need a special character.
Signing Out
Click your profile picture (top-right) → Sign Out. The portal will return you to the sign-in page.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| “Unknown SIP domain” | Confirm the SIP domain string with your admin |
| “Invalid username or password” | Make sure you are using your User Password, not your SIP password |
| Locked out after several attempts | Wait a few minutes, or ask your admin to reset your password |
| Don’t know your extension number | Ask your admin or email [email protected] |
